Gadag Project

The Project...

The Gadag Project is located in the State of Karnataka and was fully commissioned in February 2009. The project has a capacity of 24.8 MW utilising Enercon E-53 turbines and generates c. 50.53 GWh9 per annum. Power is evacuated to the grid and sold to the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company under a power purchase agreement at a rate of INR 3.40 per kWh. The project is registered under the Clean Development Mechanism. The project finance was provided by State Bank of India and at closing, was financed with 63% debt.

Theni Project

The Project...

The Theni Project is located in the State of Tamil Nadu and was commissioned in August 2010. The project has a capacity of 16.5 MW utilising Vensys V-77 manufactured in India by Regen Powertech with the project generating c. 44.92 GWh per annum. Power is evacuated through the grid and was originally sold to the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board. Indian Energy converted the project to group captive in July 2012 and now the power is sold to 4 industrial customers under a medium term power purchase agreement. Project finance was provided by State Bank of India and at closing, was financed with 63% debt.
